2008/2009 sponsored by the Consulate General of Sweden in Istanbul. The Swedish
Institute in co-operation with the Consulate General of Sweden in Istanbul,
announces a number of scholarships for master´s programmes taught in English and
research grants at universities, university colleges and research institutions
in Sweden for the academic year 2008/2009.
For information about higher education and research in Sweden see the Swedish
Institute website: www.studyinsweden.se
with links to the websites of all Swedish universities and university colleges.
Master's Programmes
Applications should be made through www.studera.nu/english which is a central
online application system with a large number of courses and study programmes at
Swedish universities and university colleges accessible to international
students. Through this system it is possible to apply for up to 8 master´s
programmes offered by different Swedish universities in one application.
When you apply for admission to a master´s programme at a Swedish university or
university college through the central application process at
www.studera.nu/english you have to mark your interest for a Swedish Institute
scholarship by ticking a box in the online application. When you have sent your
online application, you will be able to print a cover sheet for your supporting
documents. The sheet contains personal data and is essential for matching your
documents with your application. Send all your supporting documents together
with the ”Swedish Institute scholarship form” (available on ww.studyinsweden.se)
by regular mail for scanning and verification to the Swedish address announced
at www.studera.nu/english. By ticking the box in the online application and
enclosing the Swedish Institute scholarship form, you have applied for a
scholarship.
The master´s programmes will be open for registration from December 1, 2007, and
the application deadline is February, 1, 2008. This application period refers to
studies due to begin in the fall 2008.
Postgraduate Studies, Part of PHD Studies and Research
Grants are provided for postgraduate studies, part of PhD studies or research.
In order to be considered for a research grant you have to be registered at a
Turkish university or research institution, and have an invitation from a

to receive you. This contact can be made by yourself or by your university. In
order to enable the Swedish host institution to issue a letter of invitation,
you should provide information about your study or research area and your C.V.
The letter of invitation should then be enclosed to your application.
Application forms are available from the website www.studyinsweden.se.

the Swedish Institute.
