Learn Turkish in Turkey

Why not learn Turkish and experience Turkish family life at first-hand by becoming an au pair in Turkey?

If you are female and aged between 18 and 29, you can become an au pair in Turkey. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I choose the city in which I will be placed?
We mainly place the au-pair in big cities like Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir and Antalya. You may indicate the city that you would prefer, however, it is not guaranteed that you will be placed in that city. It is also to your benefit to be flexible.

How long will it take to be matched with a Turkish family?
After receiving your full file, your placement may take between two to eight weeks.

If I have a disagreement with my host family, can I change the family?
There must be a legitimate reason for a change in host families and we will need confirmation from the program counselors to approve your request.

If my host family asks me to leave for a reason not in my control, what can I do?
In such a case, the program will place you immediately with another family. However, if there is no family available at that time, you will be placed in a youth hostel and all of your expenses will be covered by the program until an appropriate family has been found.

What are the host families like?
Generally, the host families are young and both parents work. Many have small children or infants. All families are professional. Most families have a regular cleaning lady and live in modern apartments which have modern facilities. All families live close to amenities such as public transportation, grocery stores, shops, etc.

Will I be alone in Turkey?
ICEP counselors will be in regular contact with you to make your stay more enjoyable and beneficial. If you have any problems during your stay, ICEP will help you to solve them.
