Au Pair

The au pair's responsibilities may include:

  • awakening the children, dressing them, bathing, playing with and feeding them.

  • Preparing simple meals for the children, making their beds, doing their laundry, ironing their clothes

  • driving children to and from school, appointments or outings requested by the host family

  • being home as necessary while children are absent from school due to illness or holidays

  • Babysitting in the evenings upon request.

The Au-Pair is not a cleaner or a housemaid. The au pair's responsibilities do not include heavy houseworks unrelated to the children such as cleaning the home, washing floors/toilets, doing the families laundry, ironing all clothes of the family or running an entire household when parents are absent regularly for business or personal travel.

An Au-Pair is not a nanny and should not be left in sole charge of babies or young children under 2 years of age.

Male Au Pairs

Male au pairs can do some housework unrelated to the children such as gardening, shopping, repairing basic household items etc. However,  our carefully selected male au pairs speak good English and have good childcare references and can perform all duties that a female aupair can perform. .
